Frantic Amber is a Stockholm based metal band with members from four different countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Japan). Since the line-up was solidified in 2010, the band has made two tours to Russia, the latest one in September 2011, as well as a successful gig at Sweden Rock Festival 2011, which was also broadcast on the Swedish National Radio program P3 Rock Live.
Their video for the song “Wrath of Judgement” which was released 2010 made a strong impression on the metal scene and gained in one year more than a 100.000 views on youtube. The video paved the way for the international digital release of the band’s debut EP “Wrath of Judgement” 2011 which was released digitally worldwide and physically in Sweden.
Frantic Amber started 2012 performing live at P3 Guld 2012 Awards.The awards are P3′s own music prize to summarize the previous year’s best Swedish music. Performing are some of last year’s most noticed Swedish artists. The event was awarded in front of 2500 people at Lisebergshallen in Gothenburg and was broadcasted in national TV and radio channels in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
The band recently released a music video for the release of their new single “Bleeding Sanity”. The video for Bleeding Sanity got in it’s first week almost 10,000 views which has since then grown steadily. The video side story is characterized by its b-horror feel and includes a 50′s hearse.
The release date for the single is May 12 when FRANTIC AMBER is playing at Bryggerisalen at Odenplan/Stockholm on Nemis Metal Night with THE RESISTANCE (new Swedish super group of former members of IN FLAMES, THE HAUNTED and GRAVE), and the bands MONOSCREAM, DAWN OF SILENCE and COLOSSUS. FRANTIC AMBER will headline the evening and promises to offer new songs from the planned full-length album which Ralph Santolla (former member of DEATH, DEICIDE, OBITUARY, ICED EARTH) will produce.
FRANTIC AMBER last year recruited a new drummer — and its first male member — Erik Röjås. Erik has been performing with the band since the 2011 edition of the Sweden Rock Festival and accompanied the group on its second tour of Russia in September.
