The Wacken Open Air 2012 is coming - less than hundred days are left. This stage results for the fans in several new questions regarding the festival and the procedures on site. To answer these questions, we will offer a live chat in this year. Holger Hübner will answer your questions together with our online team and will listen to your suggestions. The live chat will happen at the 24th of May 2012 on www.facebook.com/WackenOpenAir.official. To participate you just need to have a facebook-account and “like” the Wacken Open Air facebook page. The chat will start at 6 pm (GMT + 1), but you can already send in question at 5:30 pm, so we can ensure a kind of a flow. If you want to participate at the chat, you should already premeditate relevant and useful questions, which will be also interesting for other users. Delain - We Are The Others Tour PART II announced!

The first part of the Delain tour 2012 is going on from April to August and now the second part of the tour to the upcoming album “We are the others” is announced! The second part starts exactly two months after the end of the first part and will head the Dutchmen through wide spread parts of Europe. Besides some gigs in Germany, there are also concerts planned in Barcelona and Moscow for example. “We are the others” will be released at the beginning of June and is the third album of the Dutch symphonic metal band. DEW-SCENTED reveal new line-up; Post second online teaser for “Icarus” album!

The new line-up (re-)introduces Marvin Vriesde (Severe Torture, ex Blo.Torch – guitar and songwriting), Koen Herfst (I Chaos – drums) and Joost van der Graaf (I Chaos, ex Creepmime – bass guitar). Last but not least, guitarist Rory Hansen (I Chaos, ex Blo.Torch) was added to the band’s ranks as second guitarist shortly after the album recordings for ICARUS. The new DEW-SCENTED line-up will make their debut shows on July 20th at Metalsplash Festival July 21st at Queens Of Metal Festival in order to also present the “Icarus” material live on stage in perfect timing for the album’s release. In order to allow a closer look at the studio work for “Icarus” and also to showcase some of the new bits of music, a second online teaser for the album was now launched via YouTube. Opening hours of the Duhorn pharmacy in Wacken

Also in 2012, the Duhorn pharmacy in Wacken adjusts its opening times and product range for the Wacken Open Air. The central located pharmacy is open from the 30th of July until the 3rd of August 2012 from 08 to 20 o’clock and in addition at the 4th of August 2012 from 08 to 18 o’clock. The pharmacy offers you a fitting product range and they can also reorder important medicines during the festival. The pharmacy is just 600 meters away from the festival area. Kyonic make it to the finals of the German Metal Battle

The young German metal band Kyonic is now in the finals of the German Metal Battle and will play at the Rock Harz 2012 to make it to the finals of the international Metal Battle and to win the national contest. Kyonic was founded in 2007 and has already successfully participated in several other band contests. The band is inspired by bands from several genres like In Flames, Trivium and Dream Theater. Metal-Battle Slovakia - Rust2dust settled the race

Also Slovakia has chose a winner at the national finals. The band is called Rust2Dust and will defend the honor of Slovakia at this year´s Metal-Battle finals against the competition. For all those who can´t get enough of heat on the festival we have something special: The THRASH OF THE TITANS FIELD Fitting to the year 2012 you will experience the end of time. From fire- or tesla shows to titanic robots to futuristic end time warriors here you´ll get them all! As a pendant to the Wackinger village the visitor will be thrown directly into a MAD MAX inspired future ambient to experience how mankind defies the physical forces. A whole army of specialist, sci-fi artists and metal construction artists will bring the THRASH OF THE TITANS FIELD to life in 2012. From now on we will announce one new artist from the hordes of the Trash of the Titans Field per week. The first one is: Sir Henry Hot Already known from the last year Sir Henry Hot will be back in 2012 - The unique fire machines of Sir Henry Hot allow a amazing, breathtaking and sometimes frightening fire performance. DEW-SCENTED exposed details about the upcoming album and announced the first live shows.

The German thrash metal band DEW-SCENTED announced further details about the upcoming album. The records are already done and the album called “Icarus” will be released in the end of July 2012. The main theme of “Icarus” is a modern and apocalyptic version of the Icarus myth from Greece and the eight album of the thrashers. In July DEW-SCENTED will also play at some festivals in Europe, before they go on tour with their label mates from Six Feet Under in August to smash the clubs into the ground.
