Your festival app for Wacken Open Air - All news around the festival always up-to-date on your iPhone or android mobile.
Are you looking forward to always have your running order with you on your mobile phone? There is no problem at all with the W:O:A Mobile App. Furthermore you can arrange your individual running order and you are also reminded of the performance 10 minutes earlier by a push message.
Via the special animated Google Map you know where what is taking place at any time and how you can get from A to B the fastest. (Attention! Now you can tag your position on the map. That way you will find back to your tent any time and moreover you can communicate to your friends where you are. That means you don’t waste time searching your friends via statements as e.g.: „My tent is to the left of the flag pole with the skull flag!“)
The obligatory pocket lamp must be included of course and when you are at a loss the festival ABC, the opening hours and the advices of further offers within the information range will help you.

The App is based on the new Augmented Reality technique. It is a channel on its own of the junaio Augmented Reality Browser.
What is it?
Well, your Smartphone acts as some kind of glasses. For that purpose it makes use of the camera and the GPS system. So, if you are on the festival site you can hold your camera in every direction and then the App shows you in a picture several points of interest including the corresponding information. Furthermore the App provides you the exact distance from your present whereabouts. That means you can find out easily where the stages are for example, where you can find the next fresh water tanks, how to get to the bus shuttle the fastest or where you can order your next beer. At the same time you will get information which band is currently performing on the particular stage or when the next shuttle will depart. The whole thing operates in real-time of course, so that you are always on the current status.

How does the whole thing work?
In your App Store or Android Market you simply download the Augmented Reality App of „junaio“for free.
If the App is installed you can find the “Wacken Virtual Guide” at „Channel“and „Search“.
ATTENTION!!! The channel can only be found if you are at the area around W:O:A! You can add the guide to your favorites. Furthermore the Virtual Guide can be directly found as Featured Pick from the welcome page of Junaio App during the whole festival.
