The American band W.A.S.P was born in late 1982, when vocalist and guitar player Blackie Lawless decided to form a new band with Randy Piper from his former group Sister.
In 1984 W.A.S.P recorded its debut album, W.A.S.P. Since then, after 3 decades of non-stop music career and with numerous changes in its line-up, the band has released 14 studio albums, has played all around the world many times and can be now considered one of the most popular bands of the heavy metal history. Blackie Lawless remains the only member from the original line-up.
Babylon (Demolition Records, 2009) is the latest W.A.S.P studio album.
In 2012 the band celebrated the 30th Anniversary of its first live show with a world tour called 30 Years of Thunder World Tour 2012.
