Final Departure Information for W:O:A 2026

Dear Metalheads,

To ensure the departure is just as smooth as the arrival, we are counting on your support!

Before you set off, please leave your campsite clean and tidy. The enormous amount of waste generated each year is not only a burden on the environment, but its removal also requires significant time, effort, and expense.
If you are travelling by car, please make sure in advance that your vehicle will start. On Sunday, everyone wants to talk to roadside assistance.
Whenever possible, plan your departure outside peak traffic hours, especially by making use of the quieter early morning hours on Sunday.
As always: only drive if you are sober and well rested. The police will be conducting checks in the surrounding area.
Please also make sure you have your towing hooks readily available and, if necessary, already mounted in case your vehicle cannot get moving.
In addition, follow the instructions of the stewards, Traffic Control, and the police. They will guide you along the best route. For departures heading south, we will be using both the A23 and the A7 motorways. To minimize traffic congestion, it is important that not everyone ends up on the same motorway. Therefore, please follow the exit signage and only switch on your navigation system once you have reached the motorway.
