The booking for Full Metal Mountain 2017 will open this Saturday at 10 AM – and today we can already announce the first top acts for the upcoming event!

Amon Amarth
The Vikings are coming for us! Amon Amarth clearly know how to deal with snow and ice – and according to our visitor survey, they are your most wanted band! So what could be more obvious, than inviting the massive Swedes to the Alps? They are an unstoppable force when it comes to live shows and we’re looking forward to hear countless old and new hits. A new studio album was just released: It is called Jomsviking and raised to #1 in both the German and Austrian charts. We congratulate!

Apocalyptica - Plays Metallica by Four Cellos
When Apocalyptica released their debut album „Plays Metallica by Four Cellos“ in 1996, the band touched a special nerve in the metal community. Nowadays, the band also has many self written songs in their repertoire, but the Metallica tunes are still part of every concert. To celebrate the Anniversary of the important album, the cello rockers are going to play a special show at FMM!

One of the best rated bands of the first Full Metal Mountain edition is In Extremo, which means medieval music is working fine at the hardest winter vacation of Europe too. For the second edition, we can announce another top act of the German medieval rock scene: Schandmaul! The relentless band is touring since 1998 and has released 8 albums in this time. They can play both hard rocking songs and calm ballads in their program – this should fit perfectly!

No time to rest! Doro Pesch doesn’t know how to stagnate and also in 2017 she will give everything she got for her fans. We’re happy to welcome the queen of metal at Nassfeld! Doro is active since more than 30 years now and has released countless hits, be it with her old band Warlock, in duets with other musicians like Motörhead, Saxon, the Scorpions or Udo Dirkschneider or with her own solo project. Her last output was the new single “Love’s Gone To Hell”, earlier this month and for FMM, Doro already plans a special mountain set. As we said: No time to rest!

These British metal titans that now feature former Dragonforce and Sodom members in their ranks alongside long time members Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans, will be performing songs from their extensive back catalog that spans over 30 years.
With previous tours opening for Metallica, Motorhead and Judas Priest, they're fully armed and ready to deliver some true metal.

The brothers Binzer and their two mates Stig and Laust are well known for sprawling shows and they will rock Austria for us! Highway rock meets some special humor and this mixture helped the band, to nearly become part of the mainstream in their home country Denmark. And although the sound of the band uses to change again and again, the overall package always stays consistent.

The Quireboys
Another act from England and also founded in the 80s: The Quireboys are coming with their hard rock and glam sounds. The band is unbelievable productive at the moment, in the last three years, they have released three new studio albums.

The Swedish metalheads from Bullet have started to make music to play “real heavy metal” – and they are still on mission! Their straight hard rock and metal was named as model for bands like Airbourne and they can’t stop deliver it. At the moment, the band is working on a new album, which will succeed “Storm of Blades” from 2010.
