The Wacken Open Air 2023 will take place from 02.08.2022 to 05.08.2023. For the first time ever, W:O:A will be a real 4 days festival!

To keep the costs low for both you and us, we have decided to use digital tickets for W:O:A 2023. This way there will be no postage costs and the handling will be easier.

All tickets will be personalized with first name and last name of the visiting person. In order to be able to pass on tickets, we will provide a function in our digital ticket center in time before the W:O:A 2023.

As always, a complete list will be available shortly before the festival. You can find a list with all already announced acts here.

In addition to our waiting list, we can also recommend our travel partners  - some of them still have tickets available.

The price for a Wacken Open Air 2023 ticket was 299.00 €.

The WackenID is, or rather will be, your free master key for all offers in the Wacken cosmos. No matter if you want to manage your tickets, discuss in the forum, create your personal running order or order merchandising, in the future you can always use your WackenID for the login. IT experts call this a single sign-on procedure.

In the first step the WackenID is only needed to manage your tickets. Further services will be connected by us bit by bit. Of course, you can still use different logins for the different services.

Every Wacken Open Air 2022 ticket must be linked to a WackenID.

However, since several tickets can be managed in one account, not all visitors need to create their own WackenID. Also linking the account to other services like the W:O:A forum is not mandatory.

With the WackenID we secure the ticket management and increase your comfort. Many fans of our W:O:A-Universium use a variety of services with us and have created a separate account for each service. In the future, pressing the button "Register with WackenID" will make the registration oboslet in many cases.

You can continue to use the services with separate accounts. However, we will gradually offer ways to merge the existing accounts - on a voluntary basis, of course.

All data is stored according to our privacy policy. Passwords are stored as a randomly encrypted hash, neither we nor the system know your password.

It is only necessary to provide an email address, a password and a unique username. All other information is voluntary, or will be requested depending on the service to fulfill the respective service.

An example from everyday life: If you order a merchandising article via the WackenID in the future, the address data will be passed on to our shipping service providers in the course of this, so that the package can be packed and shipped. If you do not start this order, however, no data will flow. And all partners do not receive more data than is necessary for the specific fulfillment. For example, the shipping service provider does not need your date of birth if you have provided it for another purpose.

The Wacken Ticketcenter is the new, central contact point for all tickets in connection with the Wacken Open Air. It is managed by the team of Metaltix.com.

You can manage your tickets here throughout the year. For example, you can change the personalization, book additional offers such as the exclusive Merchandising for ticket owners or pass the tickets on to third parties. In the future, the ticket exchange will also be found here, as well as the download of the actual ticket.

Yes, every ticket for W:O:A has to be managed via the Wacken Ticketcenter. However, not every person has to be active himself, because several tickets can be combined in one account.

The registration takes place via the WackenID.
