Hallo Metalheads,
Der April steht vor der Tür! Das W:O:A ist seit einiger Zeit ausverkauft und die Vorbereitungen laufen auf Hochtouren. Auch diese Woche habe wir wieder einiges zu berichten! Neben neuen Band Vö´s kommt auch unser Metal Masters Contest langsam in Gange. Außerdem starten wir in Kooperation mit Beats for Life welche eine Sonderaktion in Form eines Musik Contest zum Thema HIV Aufklärung ins Leben gerufen haben.

Musikwettbewerb zum Thema Aids Aufklärung
Trotz weiterhin steigender Infektionsraten ist Aids ein Thema, das oft
verdrängt wird. Allein im letzten Jahr haben sich in Deutschland fast 3.000
Menschen mit HIV infiziert. Wir denken, dass es an der Zeit ist, die Beats
sprechen zu lassen und rufen zum kreativen Schaffen auf. „Beats for Life“
ist eine Präventionsaktion, die junge Menschen daran erinnern soll, dass
Aids nicht vergessen werden darf. Prävention und Entstigmatisierung von
Betroffenen sind dabei zwei wichtige Anliegen der Partner ViiV Healthcare
und Netzwerk Plus. In Zusammenarbeit mit Vergessen ist ansteckend ist „Beats
for Life“ pünktlich zum Welt-Aids-Tag am 1.12.2010 gestartet. Junge Künstler
und Musiker von 16 bis 30 Jahren haben dabei die Möglichkeit, Songs und
Performances zum Thema „HIV/Aids“ zu kreieren und einzureichen. Der Gewinner
erhält dabei den mit 3.000 Euro dotierten Konrad-Lutz-Preis. Zudem warten
auf den 2. Platz 2.000 Euro und auf den 3. Platz 1.000 Euro. Einsendeschluss

Metal Masters in vollem Gange
Die zweite Runde des W:O:A Metal Masters ist gestartet und die ersten 30 Bands haben sich bereits beworben.
Das Metal Masters ist ein Video-Online Voting für junge Metal Bands, die um einen der begehrten Slots auf dem Wacken Open Air 2011 kämpfen.
Interessierte Bands können ein Video auf www.wackentube.com hochladen, alle User entscheiden in der Zeit vom 02.03.2011 bis 07.06.2011 über das beste Video.
Die Gewinner-Band wird die einmalige Möglichkeit bekommen sich auf dem Wacken Open Air einem großen Metal Publikum live vorzustellen.
Bis zum 07.06.2011 habt ihr noch Zeit um euer Video hochzuladen und beim Metal Masters mitzumachen!
Also haut in die Saiten und bearbeitet eure Drums um ganz vorne beim Metal Masters mitzumischen.

April is just around the corner ! Wacken is sold out since a few months and the preparations are running at full stretch. Also this week we got a lot of News! Besides new band confirmations we can announce that the Metal Masters contest is in full swing. We will also start a co-operation for a music contest regarding the clarification about HIV of our partner Beats For Life.

Music contest regarding Aids resolution
Despite the increasing rate of Aids infections, it is a topic that is often blocked. During the last year nearly 3.000 people have been newly infected with HIV in Germany. We are thinking it is time to let the “Beats for Life” speak and call for a creative producing. “Beats for Life” is a big HIV prevention campaign which should awake young people and remind them that Aids must not be forgotten. The two partners ViiV Healthcare and Netzwerk Plus want to raise awareness to approach HIV prejudice and to help stop the spread of HIV.
In collaboration with the organization “Vergessen ist Ansteckend”, the campaign “Beats for Life” started exactly on December 1st the Worlds AIDS Day.www.beatsforlife.de Young artists and musicians have the opportunity to create songs or performances on the topic HIV/Aids to enter the competition. The winner gets the Konrad-Lutz-Award, which is endowed with 3.000 Euros. The second will get 2.000 Euros, the third 1.000 Euros. Entry deadline is the 15th of July 2011. Metal Masters is in full swing
The second round of W:O:A Metal Masters has started and already 30 bands made an application.
The metal masters is an video online voting for young metal bands which will get their chance to compete for a slot at Wacken 2011 and also the possibility to show their music to a huge mass of users.
Interested bands can upload their video at www.wackentube.com! All users will decide about the winning video in the period from the 2nd of March till the 7th of June.
The winner band will get the unique possibility to present their music to a huge audience at the Wacken Open Air 2011.
Still to the 7th of June you´ll get the possibility to upload your video on www.wackentube.com to join the W:O:A Metal Masters.
