Construction phase 2 in Wacken - The new drainage system!

Created by WackenJasper
11/02/2016

The flattening of the area was only the first part of our new concept to fight the mud! Today we continue with phase 2.

Phase 2 – The new drainage system:

After the bulldozing of the area, we started the second phase that improves and extends the already existing drainage system and its concept.

We installed a huge system of subsurface water caches that can take the surface water from the whole area. Inside the system, the water can seep away fast and effectively.

If there is too much water for this system, we installed a second water storage as back up; the water can be forwarded to this area. And if there is too much water for THIS – then we can forward it to the North Sea – Baltic Seal canal.

The whole system can be checked and maintained through several shafts, to ensure functionality for a long lifetime.

And here is the second podcast - again with English subtitles!
