Show racism the red card!
Dear Metalheads,
within a few weeks the world will be visiting Wacken again. Particularly the colourful variety of nations and cultures -- among the guests as well as among the artists -- makes this festival as special as it is.
"On the W:O:A is no place for racists!!" This is the message of this year's project "United against racism!!".
We, the project "Red Card Rhineland" (http://www.rote-karte-rheinland.de), use football as a medium for this message. Therefore symbolises the red card our decline against racism, xenophobia and discrimination in any kind. We will try to convince the bands of our project. Thereby we are officially supported by the 1.FC Köln, Bayer
04 Leverkusen, Werder Bremen and VfB Stuttgart (therefore a special thanks to Klenky from the Metal-Train).The Clubs provided us with Jerseys that are going to be signed by the artists and then auctioned for a good cause after the W:O:A.
With this project we want to make a point and you can support us.
Celebrate the W:O:A of this year the way that you've done it before -- that is to say: open, respectful towards other cultures and nationalities. This image of the W:O:A, of its' Fans and of Heavy Metal in general is what we -- represented by the participating Bands -- want to present the public.
