Use public transportation!

Created by WackenJasper
07/30/2015

It kept on raining the whole night through: Since 7pm yesterday, more than 30 litres per square metre have been falling on the grounds - which are soaking wet already.

So here‘s a piece of advice: Today only use public transportation to get to the festival!

The train companies Nord-Ostseebahn, Nordbahn und Deutsche Bahn all are calling at Main Station Itzehoe. All connections can be found in our Travel Tool: http://www.wacken.com/anfahrt-widget/index-en.php

The shuttle from the train station will be free of charge for the remainder of the weekend. It brings you straight to the bus parking lot at the pedestrian entrance to the Holy Ground. From there, the distances to the camp grounds and the stages are short. Plus you won‘t be stuck in traffic and will reach the festival in any case.

In addition, here‘s some info for all that had to sleep in their cars at parking lots around Wacken: You can use the car parks „Parkhaus Zentrum Itzehoe“ (Brückenstrasse, Itzehoe) and the „Parkplatz Prinovis“ (Störfischer Strasse, Itzehoe). There will be a shuttle service free of charge for the whole weekend that starts straight from the car parks as well as the main station. The addresses to program your GPS systems and further info can be found here.

Metalheads, your patience and enthusiasm are beyond awesome! Hang on, together we will get through this! According to current forecasts, the weather will get better in the afternoon.
