BRANDNEW:
Am Donnerstag, 2. August findet wieder die "A Night To Remember"
(Bonus/Thankyouday) statt.
Crematory haben sich entschlossen, nach 10 Jahren die Bühne zu
verlassen und werden an diesem Tag ein Abschiedskonzert geben. Ein Best-Of
Programm wird erwartet! Die Special Guests werden demnächst bekannt gegeben.
Der Headliner ist W.A.S.P. (USA) - Blackies Kultband auf dem Kultfestival!
Okay, weiter mit den Neuigkieten zum W:O:A:
Für das Festival sind einige Veränderungen für dieses Jahr geplant.
Neben dem wohlbekannten HEADBANGERS BALLROOM TENT findet Ihr dieses Jahr die
W.E.T. Stage: Auf dieser Bühne werden sich dieses Jahr Newcomerbands einem
grösseren Publikum zeigen können. Das Billing wird vom W:O:A Fanclub aus-
gesucht und wird Mitte Juni bekanntgegeben. Die Namen der Bands findet Ihr im
nächsten Newsletter.
METALTIX featuring BULLET TV/ TOTAL ROCK and workshop area:
Ein anderer Service des W:O:A Veranstalters ist ein Onlineshop für Tickets und
Merchandising, METALTIX ( http://www.metaltix.com ) klickt rein oder besucht
sie auf dem Festival, wo sie ihren Shop im METALTIX TENT präsentieren werden.
Weiterhin findet Ihr dort RADIO TOTALROCK ( http://www.totalrock.com ) mit
DJ Charlie Andrews und BULLET TV ( http://www.bullet-tv.de
) mit Sabina Classen.
Beide werden mit Musikern Talkshows, Live Broadcasting und Meet-And-Greet-
Aktionen sowie Interviews auf einer Stage abhalten. Am Samstag wird DORO
PESCH Co- Moderatorin von Charlie Andrews sein. O-Ton Charlie Andrews:
"The German singer DORO is to be part of our team covering the Wacken
Festival. She will hook up with her >Future ex-husband< Charlie Andrews on
August 4th to conduct interviews with various bands and down gallons of
Jaegermeister".
Auch dieses Jahr präsentiert euch der W:O:A Veranstalter wieder einen Wacken
Sampler, genannt WACKEN ROCKS - The Ultimate Rock Compilation. Der Sampler
wird auf SPV / Steamhammer erscheinen und eine Sammlung von Klassikern von
Dee Snider, Rose Tattoo, U.D.O., Molly Hatchet, D.A.D., Judas Priest,
Girlschool, Pretty Maids und vielen anderen mehr enthalten.

bekannten DJs wie Tommy Vance (jahrelang DJ der Friday Rock Show auf

(ex-Chefredakteur des Kerrang u. Metal Hammer) zusammengestellt u. moderiert.
Bruce Dickinson und Vanessa Warwick schauen auch regelmäßig als Gast DJs vor-
bei. DJ Charlie Andrews wird jeden Tag vom W:O:A Live berichten.
TOTAL ROCK ist übrigens in England auch digital und in ganz Europa über Astra

BULLET TV, ist Internet- TV- Präsentator des W:O:A.
Mastermind von Bullet TV ist Sabina Classen, bekannt als Sängerin von
HOLY MOSES (Mosh, ReUnion Show auf dem Wacken) und in Deutschland durch
die Moderation der ersten Heavy Metal TV Sendung vor 12 Jahren.

News einmal an. Sabina und Charlie werden auf der Interviewstage im
METALTIX TENT zusammen moderieren.

CAMPING: Der Campingplatz ist ab Dienstag, den 31.07. 2001 geöffnet.
Auch dieses Jahr werden ab dem 31.7. wieder Shuttlebusse vom Bahnhof
Itzehoe für Euch Unterwegs sein.
Ausserdem:
- Campen direkt am KfZ
- Keine weiten Wege zum Festivalgelände
- Hunde dürfen aufgrund von Behördenauflagen nicht mitgebracht werden
- Hundepension (wenn es gar nicht anders geht) in der Nähe des Festivalgeländes
- Mitnahme von Getränken und Essen ohne Beschränkung
HEADBANGERS BALLROOM TENT: Als mittlerweile legendär ist das Headbanger
Ballroom Tent auf dem Aussengelände zu bezeichnen. Hier können die Fans
bereits ab Mittwoch, den 1.8. abfeiern.
VIP SOCCER GAME: Auch in diesem Jahr tritt die durchtrainierte RockHard- Mann-
schaft gegen ein hochkarätiges Musikerteam an. Die genaue Mannschaftsauf-
stellung folgt. Anpfiff ist Donnerstag, 2.8. um 16.00 Uhr.

BRANDNEW:
On Thursday, August 2nd again "A Night To Remember" takes place. CREMATORY
have decided to leave the stage after 10 years band career and show up with
a farewell concert on this night. A best-of program is expected!!.
The opener for this show will follow soon!! The Headliner is W.A.S.P. (USA)
Okay, we continue with more facts from the W:O:A :
The festival site has some alterations this year. Beside the wellknown
HEADBANGERS BALLROOM TENT you´ll find the W.E.T. STAGE: On this stage
newcomer bands can present themselves to a larger audience. The billing was
selected by the W:O:A fanclub and will be announced at middle of June. Names
of the bands coming soon in the next newsletter.
METALTIX featuring BULLET TV/ TOTAL ROCK and workshop area: Another service of
the W:O:A promoter is this onlineshop for ticketsales and merchandising, named
METALTIX ( http://www.metaltix.com ) Click in or visit them at the festival
where they will present the shop in this special METALTIX TENT for the first
time. Furthermore you´ll find here the internet presenter RADIO TOTALROCK
( http://www.totalrock.com ) with DJ Charlie Andrews, and BULLET TV
( http://www.bullet-tv.de ) with Sabina Classen. Both of them will interview
some musicians on an interviewstage. On Saturday DORO PESCH will be Co-host of
Charlie Andrews. O-Tone Charlie Andrews from TOTALROCK: "The German singer

Once again the W:O:A promoter team will present a Wacken sampler which is
called WACKEN ROCKS - The Ultimate Rock Compilation. This sampler will be
released on June 11th via SPV / Steamhammer and includes a collection of
classics from Dee Snider, Rose Tattoo, U.D.O., Molly Hatchet, D.A.D.,
Judas Priest, Girlschool, Pretty Maids and many more, watch out for it!!

Radio TotalRock is the official Wacken radio station which presents the W:O:A
festival. Click http://www.totalrock.com and you can listen 24 hours a day the
whole variety of hard music from rock to nu metal. The programme goes on air
with wellknown experts like Tommy Vance (for e.g. former DJ of "Friday Rock
Show on BBC/Radio 1), DJ Krusher (10 years writer for Kerrang) and Malcolm
Dome (former editor of Kerrang and Metal Hammer UK). There are also
spectacular guest DJs like Bruce Dickinson and Vanessa Warwick. DJ Charlie
Andrews will be on air each day of the W:O:A festival and broadcasts directly
from the festival site. TotalRock broadcasts to the whole of UK on Sky Digital
Channel 950 and to the whole of the world via website http://www.totalrock.com

BULLET TV is an internet TV which presents the W:O:A festival.
Mastermind of Bullet TV is Sabina Classen who is also wellknown as the singer
for HOLY MOSES (Yes, the reunion show is at the W:O:A) and in Germany also
because of hosting the first heavy metal TV show, 12 years ago. Click

Sabina and Charlie will host the interviewstage together in the METALTIX TENT.

HEADBANGERS BALLROOM TENT: This tent is wellknown for all heavy fans who have
been visiting the W:O:A the last years. From Tuesday, 31st of July on, this
tent is open and warm-up parties are guaranteed.
VIP SOCCER GAME: Meanwhile also famous is this VIP SOCCER GAME on Thursday,
2nd of August between Germany´s leading rock magazine ROCKHARD and a musician
team. Kick-Off is 4.00 pm. Team line-up follows.
