BAUER UWE REALLY EXISTED
Uwe Trede was our first supporter in Wacken. He allowed the first metalheads to park on the festival grounds, which still belong to the Trede family. Without him, Wacken Open Air as we know it wouldn’t exist. Thanks to his help, the festival ran smoothly in its early years and gained increasing support in Wacken.
We are deeply grateful that the next generation of the Trede family continues to support us and provide their land for the festival. Sadly, Uwe passed away in 2021. So, when you’re in Bauer Uwe’s Garden, take a moment to look up and remember him.
