GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ACCESS PASS & BOOKING START
We're sticking with it – an Access Pass remains mandatory for arriving at any W:O:A camping area by vehicle.
Good news: Arrival for selected camping areas for W:O:A 2026 will already start on Sunday.
The prices for the W:O:A Campground Access Pass (Car and Camper) remain the same. The costs are €33 for the Car Access Pass, and for the Camper Access Pass €66.
Our goal: A safe and relaxed arrival for all Metalheads.
New in 2026: The Last Resort Area. Here you’ll get a campsite with your vehicle close to the festival grounds—even if you arrive on Friday or Saturday.
5 Facts about the Access Pass:
- 1 vehicle = 1 Access Pass (1 car or 1 car + trailer = 1 vehicle)
- must be valid on day of arrival
- must match your camping area
- must be present and shown to W:O:A ticket control
- coaches, motorcycles, bikes and user of daily parking spots and public transportation or W:O:A bus shuttle don't need an Access Pass
W:O:A CAMPGROUND
Your vehicle needs an Access Pass to access the W:O:A Campground. You can purchase the Access Pass at the Wacken Ticketcenter.
The following payment methods are accepted: Credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Pay by Bank (Instant Bank Transfer), Bancontact and iDEAL. Pre payment isn't possible.
Important: When purchasing, first select your day of arrival. Then, choose one of the three routes that will take you directly to the W:O:A Campground. Each route has its own contingent of vehicles per day, ensuring better distribution of arrival traffic. If your preferred route or arrival day is sold out, try another route or day.
You must specify a vehicle category when purchasing:
- Car Access Pass (€33) → car without trailer.
- Camper Access Pass (€66) → motorhomes, cars with caravans, trailers, or vehicles over 3.5 tons.
ROUTES TO THE W:O:A CAMPGROUND
There are three routes (Square, Circle, Triangle) that will take you directly from the A7 or A23 highway via three access roads to the W:O:A Campground.
Traveling as a group? Be sure that everyone takes the same route - otherwise, you'll get separated on the way!
LAST RESORT AREA
Important: Route selection does not apply here. When purchasing, select your day of arrival and specify a vehicle category:
- Car Access Pass (€20 for Friday / €10 for Saturday) → car without trailer.
- Camper Access Pass (€40 for Friday / €20 for Saturday) → motorhomes, cars with caravans, trailers, or vehicles over 3.5 tons.

UP- & DOWNGRADE
Upgrade: Until shortly before your booked arrival day, you can upgrade your Car Access Pass to a Camper Access Pass (e.g. changing from car to motorhome) by paying an additional €33 (Last Resort: €20/10 depending on arrival day).
Downgrading is not possible.
If you have the Camper Access Pass but are traveling with a smaller vehicle, you have two options:
- Keep the Access Pass → No issues with ticket control.
- Resell the Access Pass in the ticket market.
There are no additional fees for Access Pass transactions.
Important for ticket control:
The Access Pass must match your arrival date, route (except Last Resort) and vehicle category.
→ If an Access Pass is missing or the details do not match, an additional fee of €99 will be charged.
SPLIT CAMPING – Park here. Camp there.
In 2026, there will once again a camping area located directly at the festival site, where parking and camping are split but under a new name: Split Camping – Park here. Camp there. (former Camping Only).
The Access Pass is free of charge, a binding arrival day must be specified when booking. It is possible to arrive by car – a parking space is reserved in the adjacent parking lot when booking the Access Pass.
Even with a last-minute arrival, a campsite will still be available in the immediate vicinity of the festival site.
Silent Doom - NEW
In 2026, there will be the Silent Doom camping area.
In this area, we eliminate certain disturbances: no nighttime use of generators and a ban on boomboxes. After the final stage performance, absolute nighttime quiet applies here.

SPECIAL CAMPING AREAS & WHEELS OF STEEL
The booking of the Access Pass for Special Camping tickets is easy. Simply add the Access Passes to your accommodation ticket in the Wacken Ticketcenter.
No additional costs - the Access Passes are already included in the Special Camping ticket.
Day-specific arrival is valid for: Camper-Park and Bauer Uwes Garten.
Flexible arrival for: TE.N.T., Residenz Evil and Moshtel.
Please note the different opening hours of the areas.
Access Passes for the Wheels of Steel area are also booked via the Wacken Ticketcenter using the same process.
