The W:O:A X-Mas Calendar 2025!

Ho ho ho, Metalheads!
All of a sudden December is around the corner and die-hard fans know what that means: From December 1st to 24th, you’ll have the chance to win awesome prizes every single day in our X-Mas Calendarraffle!

But there are two differences this time: 

As you’ve surely noticed, the bands were already announced earlier in our big band wave!
What’s new this year is a Christmas story and lots of accompanying activities that will guide you through the 24 days. Stay tuned! 

The Legend of the Holy Ground

When the nights grow longer and winter casts its silence over the land, we bring out the stories that continue to burn like embers in the dark. For many winters now, people in Wacken have been telling tales of headstrong characters who awaken in the nights before the festival: the Wacken journeymen. One by one, they emerge from the shadows, the wind, and the earth, leaving behind traces that have shaped the festival over the years. Some of them are quiet, others loud, but all of them are wondrous. For twenty-four days, we follow their paths through history, from the first planks of a small stage to the anniversary of a festival that brings together people from all over the world. Thus, a chain of fairy tales unfolds, woven from memory, mischief, and noise.

Come closer, metalheads, for this is the story of how Wacken became the Holy Ground.

How it works:

Behind each of the 24 doors of the W:O:A X-Mas Calendar, we’ve hidden fantastic prizes that you can win in the daily giveaway! All you need to do is register with your email address and mailing address on the respective day. A quick tip: If you want to win multiple prizes, you’ll need to register again for each day.

You can easily sign up for the raffle using your Wacken.ID. This means you won’t have to enter your details manually for each giveaway—just one click per day is enough. You can register your Wacken.ID HERE if you haven’t done so yet.
