Journey info

Certainly a lot of you are still packing their cases for the journey to Wacken! Because of this we´ve summed up again all important info about the journey.

Please consider the following:

-> When possible please use the attractive offerings from bus and railway

-> Use the opportunity of an early arrival – avoid peak times (also because of the evening rush hour in Hamburg) tuesday, 17:00 till 19:00 o’clock, wednesday 15:00 till 19:00 o’clock and thursday 11:00 till 13:00 o’clock. So you’ll create a jam- and stressfree journey. Keep attention of the conduction signs, and the current information on our mobile phone homepage mobile.wacken.com.

Advice to all users of navigation systems: Only use navigation systems untill you achieve the signposted travel route. From then on you can trust our guidance-system. Much more important is this fact for your departure! Because then we are depend on the fact that not all of you hit the same freeway. So please follow our departure-advices, even if they look like a detour. Please use your navigation system not before you are on the freeway. At least this helps to prevent the traffic-jam in Northern Germany. ATTENTION: For the departure we use both freeway A 23 and freeway A 7as the rout toward south-direction.

-> Please have your tickets ready – Searching for tickets means hecticness for you and waitingtime for all the others.

-> Please follow the instructions of the stewards and use the assigned areas. They gladly answer your question – after you parked your car.

-> Keep free traffic- and escape routes.

-> Keep in mind, that you have follow the praking- and campingorder at all areas – read the festival-abc.

-> Please follow the instructions of the regulators and keep traffic routes free. If you have any questions we gladly respond after you parked your car. So you avoid long waiting times for everyone behind you.
