The Bullhead - Issue 4/2025

12/22/2025

The year is drawing to a close and the days are becoming calmer.
But we’re cranking up your anticipation for the upcoming festival season with a new issue of The Bullhead: 46 pages of reading material for the holidays. Packed with exclusive interviews, background stories, and special reports.

In this issue, Black Label Society frontman Zakk Wylde tells us about his mentor and father figure Ozzy Osbourne, talks about last messages, and reflects on the values the “Madman” passed on to him. Chris Caffery of Savatage explains why he wears a Wacken tattoo on his upper arm, how strongly his playing is still influenced by Criss Oliva today, and what went wrong at the legendary double show by TSO and Savatage in 2015 on the Holy Ground. Thundermother founder Filippa Nässli had just come out of the emergency room shortly before her interview with “The Bullhead”. What happened and why she’s still heading into the holidays in great spirits can be read in the new issue. We were also out donating blood in Berlin with Wacken co-founder Holger Hübner, spoke with his partner Thomas Jensen about the 35th anniversary, and already made a trip to Austria (Zillertal) to test whether everything on site is ready for the upcoming Full Metal Mayrhofen. Spoiler: Mayrhofen passed with a perfect A!

As always, The Bullhead is published bilingually and is free of charge for readers.
