Wacken one more time – Philipp’s Unforgettable Day on the Holy Ground

“Thanks to the wonderful work of Linda and the entire Wacken team, we had an unforgettable day – it didn’t feel like a last wish among strangers, but like a huge gathering with old friends.”

Philipp is terminally ill. Together with his partner Melissa, he still wanted to live his dream of Wacken one more time. With the Wünschewagen from ASB Hamburg, this dream became reality.

Philipp recalls his unique experience: despite the rain at first, the weather turned into brilliant sunshine. With great music, inspiring encounters, and even a light-hearted exchange with Bob Geldof, his day became one goosebump moment after another.

Even though the ground was muddy and the rain relentless, they chose the adventure – and were rewarded with a rainbow over Wacken, sunshine, raw emotions, and the unforgettable magic of the festival.

For Melissa, it was simply “the most beautiful day of her life.”.
