Death Row

Death Row is a deathened groove metal band from Sofia, Bulgaria, formed in 2021 by a group of school friends. Their sound channels the aggression of '90s groove metal, thrash, and hardcore — drawing from Pantera, Machine Head, Gojira, Trivium, and 90s hardcore — paired with introspective, poetic lyricism.

Highlights include Hills of Rock 2024, Polinerock Festival, S'cool Rock Fest (Plovdiv), Shiny Fest (Sofia), and an opening slot for Lazarvs in Plovdiv. They've also taken two national prizes: the 2023 Music Accelerator (which launched their debut single Patria in February 2024) and first place at Wolf Path Rock Fest in Chelopech. Their 2025 debut album was followed by their first nationwide tour — Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, Yambol, Varna — with new material currently in the works.
