Be part of the 35th Wacken Open Air – it’s going to be legendary!

2026 is going to be a celebration to remember: Wacken Open Air will take place for the 35th time – and it’s going to be legendary!
We’re celebrating three decades and five years of metal and mayhem – from July 29 to August 1, 2026.
The first bands have been announced, and there’s movement on the ticket front too. One thing’s for sure: it’s going to be epic.

Here are the key facts for you:

  • Presale starts today on August 3, 2025 at 8:00 PM (CEST) on Metaltix.com.
  • With Faster, Harder – and brand-new: Louder – there will be three ticket categories, released one after the other in that order.
  • All tickets cost €349 (plus booking fees) are personalized, and digital.

What’s included in your ticket:

No matter which category you choose, the following is always part of the package:

  • Access to the full festival from July 29 to August 1, 2026
  • Camping from July 26 until August 2, 2026 (noon)
  • Admission to all stages
  • Bus shuttle from Itzehoe train station

Faster Tickets are limited to 10,000 pieces and come with an exclusive free special T-shirt.

  • Tickets are automatically added to your Wacken Ticketcenter account (after payment if using prepayment)
  • You can then directly shop for merch & bundles at Metalmerch – all in one shopping cart
  • Shipping will take several weeks.

A few tips for a smooth presale experience:

  • Sign up at Metaltix.com before August 3 – or create your account now
  • Accepted payment methods: PayPal (incl. installment plans), credit card or prepayment
  • Make sure your delivery address is up to date
  • Consider purchasing ticket insurance, as tickets are non-refundable. Only with insurance you might get your money back in case of cancellation
  • Access Pass required per vehicle – available from spring 2026
  • Arrival from Sunday, July 26, 2026
